I’ve always been interested in technology, and once I realized that I am better at working with people than with code, I decided to use my analytical skills to find practical solutions for clients. Having qualified into the Intellectual Property team in London, I now advise tech businesses to help them make a positive impact.

Being part of a global firm is one of the best parts of my job. I get to speak with fascinating people from around the world on a daily basis and reflect on the factors that accompany that diversity. I became a lawyer because I was looking for an intellectually challenging career that was firmly rooted in practical problem solving. I chose law, joining the London office as a trainee solicitor, and have since spent my entire career at the firm. Now, I handle stimulating and complex litigation alongside a great team, helping clients with their most challenging disputes.
However, this role can be demanding, so it’s vital to be able to step away and recharge. Here, we benefit from an ideal balance between professional excellence and personal support.

As a trainee, I’ve gained a wide range of experience across practice areas, with specialized focus in finance. Across my four seats, I’ve sat with our banking, real estate finance and insurance teams, looking at a variety of financial matters from different perspectives.
Outside of work, I enjoy my two biggest hobbies: yoga and pottery. These activities are valuable opportunities to relax, recharge and reenergize, while also teaching me skills of focus, patience and determination—qualities which have proven to be useful throughout my training contract.

Mentoring & Support
We know you don’t find success by staying in your comfort zone. That’s why we encourage our trainees to be hands-on, taking responsibility for tasks that more-senior lawyers might do in other firms.
Although we believe it’s important to let our people learn by doing, we also know the value of support and mentoring in nurturing talent. Every trainee is assigned a mentor when they join us, providing the guidance and camaraderie that’s critical in the early stages of a career in law. And over time, by working and interacting with colleagues, trainees build informal relationships with a range of lawyers who can offer personal guidance and support.
