Intern Programs (Germany)

Program Overview

Our Intern Programs are your chance to get on-the-job training at our global law firm.

Throughout the year we offer legal students, legal clerks and legal interns the opportunity to join us in our Frankfurt office and take the first step in their law career. In the programs, you’ll gain unique insights into our work as well as a first-hand perspective on the cutting-edge legal work that’s happening across our practice groups. Our Summer Intern Program offers short term mandatory internships that take place every August.

Details of our Programs

On your first day with us, we’ll welcome you to our firm and give you all the essential information you’ll need to settle in. That starts with a tour of the office where you can meet your fellow interns and lawyers. You will also receive a mentor and introductory IT training.

As part of our Summer Intern Program, you’ll learn how our teams operate and understand more about our business. With presentations delivered by our lawyers in each practice area and seminars on critical legal topics, you’ll receive a valuable inside perspective of a career at our firm that you won’t be able to find elsewhere.

Development & Perks

During your time with us, you will benefit from exclusive opportunities to progress your legal career. As an intern, you’ll have access to our additional framework program, which will give you further insights into the firm that go beyond any regular internship. That means social and networking events (happy hour, jurLounge and an annual summer and Christmas event).

As part of our Summer Intern Program you will benefit from, training on topics such as legal clerkship, exam preparation and additional qualifications (e.g. LL.M), as well as access to a personal mentor who you can ask for career advice.

As a legal intern, you will enjoy financial benefits such as subsidized lunch offers at the Mayer Brown Townhall, access to our Employee Assistance Program "voiio", and local and global Well-Being and Diversity offerings. Separately, as part of the legal clerkship with our firm you will have access to a free "Kaiser Klausurenpaket".
