Intern Program (France)

Intern Program in Paris

The Intern Program offers you the opportunity to be immersed in our firm, giving you first-hand experience of life here at Mayer Brown.

You’ll be allocated to one of our departments for six months where you’ll be mentored by an experienced lawyer, who will guide and support you through your program.

Details of the Program

From your first day as an intern, we want you to feel like part of our firm—that’s why we host an integration day to give you all the tools you need to hit the ground running. On your first day, you’ll meet your colleagues, learn how to use our state-of-the-art technology systems and hear about our firm’s history. After a welcome lunch and a training session on legal research, you’ll be ready to join your team and get started on real assignments.

During your time here, you’ll gradually take on more responsibility. Under the supervision of our people, you’ll be involved in a variety of legal assignments—from legislative research to drafting contracts. That means, as well as adding real value to our firm, you will also develop the valuable skills you’ll need for a career as a lawyer.

Development & Perks

We believe that our strength as an international law firm comes from the quality of our team. That’s why providing the best possible training to our people is fundamental to our business. We know that our clients primarily have business problems—not legal problems—so we’ll give you the training you need to gain a strong command of our clients’ legal, economic and regulatory constraints.

Since we’re a global law firm, we must be confident in handling international cases and communicating with our clients, wherever they are. That’s why our training programs are in both French and English and our ideal candidates speak both languages.
