Our Summer Program is a fantastic way to learn more about a career in law.
You’ll be involved with actual client matters, providing you with real-world experience. And you’ll have plenty of opportunities to observe or participate in closings, document drafting, client conferences and negotiation sessions. Working alongside our talented teams allows summer associates to experience our “one-firm” culture, explore different practice areas, and work with a variety of lawyers.
Salt Lake City is a booming hub of innovation and technology. Our Utah-based lawyers know their markets well and work closely with colleagues worldwide to provide exceptional client service in the areas of Capital Markets, Corporate & Securities, Mergers & Acquisitions, Intellectual Property, Technology Transactions, and Litigation & Dispute Resolution.
We do everything we can to make our Summer Program as useful as possible. To accomplish this, we provide you with personalized performance feedback, and give you access to formal training programs.
Your Development
The Summer Program is a chance to gain valuable experience. You’ll have an opportunity to discuss transactions and cases with the lawyers who are directly responsible for these. Lawyers invite summer associates to regular group meetings, training sessions and client calls. We understand how important feedback is to you as an aspiring lawyer. Beyond the formal feedback sessions scheduled during the program, you are encouraged to request informal feedback from lawyers on assignments. Each summer associate will work with a partner and an associate mentor.
